The Six Month Smiles Process
To start, Dr. Sang will give you a thorough oral examination and bite analysis to see how severe your case is. We want to make sure that we recommend the correct treatment option for each individual patient. He’ll also discuss with you your budget, what you want your smile to look like, and the condition of your oral health. All of these factors are important in deciding a treatment plan.
If he determines that Six Month Smiles is right for you, an appointment will be scheduled to get the braces put on right in our office. It takes about an hour to get them attached to your smile. There’s no downtime after the procedure, and you can return to normal daily activities right away.
Over the course of your Six Month Smiles treatment, you’ll come back to our office 3-7 times for checkups. We want to make sure that your teeth are aligning properly and we’ll adjust the braces as needed. It’s also necessary to monitor your oral health during this time. Brushing and flossing are extremely important to keep braces clean. You don’t want to have tooth discoloration or decay when your treatment is over.
After about six months, your treatment will be complete! It may take slightly longer or shorter, depending on each individual case. Once your dentist determines that your treatment is done, he’ll remove the braces and you can enjoy your straight smile!
