Meet the Dentists

moss smallDr. David Moss

Dr. David Moss, a Florence native, has been in general practice in Florence since 1980. Dr. Moss received his education in dental medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. As an honor graduate, he completed advanced dental training in the general practice residency at the Medical University Hospital in Charleston before returning to Florence. Dr. Moss graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1975 where he was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa honorary society.

During his dental career, Dr. Moss has been active in all facets of the dental profession. In local and statewide leadership positions, he has sought to represent dentistry in the public and professional sectors. Dr. Moss has achieved a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also been awarded a Fellowship by the American College of Dentists. Dr. Moss is included in Best Dentists in America by nomination of former MUSC dental faculty. 

Dr. Moss is the 2014 President of the South Carolina Dental Association. He also represents the South Carolina delegation to the American Dental Association.

Dr. Moss blends his profession and faith in providing dental care at Mercy Medicine Free Clinic. He has made numerous journeys to Central America to provide dental care in Christian mission efforts. He serves the Lord locally at Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Moss is married to Kristen and has four children.

Sang

Dr. Brian Sang

Dr. Brian Sang is a native of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. After attending Marshall University, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Subsequently, Dr. Sang completed a General Practice Residency at WVU Hospital where he received intensive training in laser and implant dentistry. He is an active member in the ADA, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Sang attended the Zimmer Institute in Carlsbad, CA for implant training as well as the reputable Dawson Academy in Clearwater, FL. 

He joined Dr. Moss in practice in 2010.

Dr. Sang volunteers his time at Mercy Medicine Free Clinic. He is this years Chair of the Pee Dee Region Give Kids A Smile Day. Dr. Sang volunteers yearly for the Dental Access Day (DAD program). He provides dental care in Guatemala on a yearly basis mission trip. He is proud member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Give Back A Smile Program, where he helps restore smiles of domestic violence victims. Dr. Sang is proud to volunteer his time to our military on Fort Jackson Military Base in Columbia SC.

In his spare time Dr. Sang enjoys playing the piano and guitar. As an Eagle Scout he loves to enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking, and fishing and playing with his German Shepherd, Lucy. Dr. Sang is the proud parent of his two year old son, Miles.

Dr. Tyler Perry

Tyler PerryDr. Tyler Perry received his Bachelor of Science at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. He is a proud graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine in Charleston. Graduating with honors, Dr. Perry has since completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at East Carolina University. He has been a Florence native for virtually his entire life.

Dr. Perry has been very involved in the community, participating in dental mission work in Cambodia as well as in Jamaica. He has volunteered at the Mercy Medicine Free Clinic and numerous South Carolina Dental Access Days where free dental care is provided to thousands. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, The American Dental Political Action Committee, and the Christian Dental Society. Dr. Perry is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry in which he aspires to obtain his Fellowship in the upcoming years.

Dr. Perry has enjoyed a deep-rooted passion for music, having played the drums since he was five. He has collaborated with numerous musicians over the years and has performed many shows in and around South Carolina. He also loves to spend his time outdoors hunting and fishing.
